Auction result well in line with expectations
In March this year VAN HAM held the auction Art of the 20th Century | ONLINE ONLY, which included this untitled work by Fred Thieler. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,122.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fred Thieler achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Wandbild im Kurhaus Wannsee in December 2019 with an auction result of EUR 75,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März diesen Jahres führte VAN HAM die Auktion Art of the 20th Century | ONLINE ONLY durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Fred Thieler zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.122,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fred Thieler erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Wandbild im Kurhaus Wannsee im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 75.000,00.
