In June 2009 Sothebys in Zurich held the auction Schweizer Kunst / Swiss Art, which included the work Tessiner Landschaft Landscape In Ticino by Fred Stauffer. The »bidding war« ended at CHF 10,000.00 (€ 6,563.48), 43% above the upper estimate. With this result, Tessiner Landschaft Landscape In Ticino is even the most expensive work of art by Fred Stauffer that we have observed at auctions so far.
