In December 2016 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European & Orientalist Art, which included the work Portrait of Mrs Ackermann, three-quarter length, seated in a landscape by Franz Xaver Winterhalter. The result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 23,383.24) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Xaver Winterhalter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Queen Olga of Württemberg, Grand Duchess of Russia in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 1,072,000.00 (€ 1,551,166.13).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait of Mrs Ackermann, three-quarter length, seated in a landscape von Franz Xaver Winterhalter zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 23.383,24) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz Xaver Winterhalter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Queen Olga of Württemberg, Grand Duchess of Russia im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.072.000,00 (€ 1.551.166,13).
