A top price for Franz Würbel
In June 2010 Sothebys in London held the auction 19th Century European Paintings Including German, Austrian and Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and the Scandinavian Sale, which included the work Austrian taking A Drink by Franz Würbel. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 27,500.00 (€ 33,442.56), 38% above the upper estimate. With this result, Austrian taking A Drink is even the most expensive work of art by Franz Würbel that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Franz Würbel
Im Juni 2010 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion 19th Century European Paintings Including German, Austrian and Central European Paintings, The Orientalist Sale, Spanish Painting and the Scandinavian Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Austrian taking A Drink von Franz Würbel zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 33.442,56) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Austrian taking A Drink sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Franz Würbel, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
