Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Still Life Of Flowers In An Urn With A Putto On A Stone Ledge by Franz Werner von Tamm for GBP 5,250.00 (€ 6,138.10). This price was achieved in the auction The Vittorio & Caterina Di Capua Collection, Turin at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Franz Werner von Tamm have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two courting doves, a squirrel and a guinea-pig on a forest floor; and A hen and chicks in a landscape in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 20,315.00 (€ 29,238.87).
