In the Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries auction, the work A carriage in a street in Rome sold for EUR 2,125.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Franz Theodor Aerni have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Day In The Park in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 8,681.90).
