It achieved a price of GBP 2,394.00 (€ 2,674.31), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Franz Joseph Noortwyck; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Portrait Of Maria Amalia Of Saxony, Duchess Of The Palatine-Zweibrücken (1757-1831) sold at auction in December 2019 with the realized price of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,136.59).
