Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2004 Christies in London held the auction AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work A Morning Read by Franz Horst. The price achieved of GBP 262.90 (€ 378.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200.00 – 300.00. Other works by Franz Horst have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2006 the work Reading in the shade, a snow capped mountain beyond was auctioned for GBP 360.00 (€ 534.29).

Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion AT HOME - BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Morning Read von Franz Horst zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 262,90 (€ 378,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200,00 – 300,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Franz Horst konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2006 die Arbeit Reading in the shade, a snow capped mountain beyond für GBP 360,00 (€ 534,29) versteigert.
