Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Soldiers playing cards in an inn; and Soldiers merrymaking in an inn by Franz Christoph Janneck was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2011. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,214.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Christoph Janneck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A musical banquet in a palace; and Elegant figures dancing and merrymaking in a palace in June 2015 with an auction result of USD 245,000.00 (€ 219,652.14).
