Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Circassian Horsemen by Franz Roubaud was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2020. The price achieved of GBP 37,800.00 (€ 42,225.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Franz Roubaud have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cossacks Crossing The River in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 168,500.00 (€ 250,045.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Circassian Horsemen von Franz Roubaud kam im Dezember 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 37.800,00 (€ 42.225,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Franz Roubaud auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cossacks Crossing The River im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 168.500,00 (€ 250.045,53).
