In November 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction 20th Century Art – A Different Perspective, which included the work Czech breakfast by František Gross. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,189.36), 56% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Czech breakfast the most expensive artwork by František Gross that we have observed at auctions so far.
