Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2006 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work An Interior With A Lady At Her Toilette, With A Negro Page Beside Her; An Elegant Company Making Music by Frans Xavier Hendrick Verbeeck. The price achieved of GBP 9,600.00 (€ 14,247.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frans Xavier Hendrick Verbeeck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Sense of Hearing: elegant company making music in an interior; and The Sense of Taste: elegant company eating and drinking by a draped table in an interior, which sold at auction in May 2002 for EUR 28,680.00.

Im Dezember 2006 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Interior With A Lady At Her Toilette, With A Negro Page Beside Her; An Elegant Company Making Music von Frans Xavier Hendrick Verbeeck zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.600,00 (€ 14.247,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden.
