Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work The love letter by Frans Moormans for EUR 500.00. This price was achieved in the auction The Decorative Arts Sale, incl. Fine Paintings at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frans Moormans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The toast in April 2001 with an auction result of GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,682.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2012 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The love letter von Frans Moormans für EUR 500,00 erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Decorative Arts Sale, incl. Fine Paintings bei Christies in Amsterdam erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frans Moormans erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The toast im April 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.682,74).
