Auction result fails to reach estimate
When the work A Still Day. by Frans Maexmontan was auctioned at Bukowski in Helsinki in March 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had set an estimate of EUR 300.00, but failed to be met - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 250.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frans Maexmontan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sailing At Night. in May 2011 with an auction result of EUR 5,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Als die Arbeit A Still Day. von Frans Maexmontan im März 2011 bei Bukowski in Helsinki versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit EUR 300,00 angegeben, den dieses Werk bei seiner Versteigerung jedoch nicht erreichen konnte - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 250,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frans Maexmontan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sailing At Night. im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 5.200,00.
