In February 2004 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Kalverstraat by night by Frans Koppelaar. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,031.50 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Frans Koppelaar have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Besneeuwde Torensluisbrug in October 2003 with an auction result of EUR 10,755.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2004 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Kalverstraat by night von Frans Koppelaar zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.031,50 und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frans Koppelaar auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Besneeuwde Torensluisbrug im Oktober 2003 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 10.755,00.
