Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Stadt 9/31/D (Berlin)' by Frank Thiel was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2018. The price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,565.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Thiel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work „Die Alliierten“. in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 112,500.00.

Die Arbeit 'Stadt 9/31/D (Berlin)' von Frank Thiel kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.565,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Thiel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit „Die Alliierten“. im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 112.500,00.
