Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Sunshine at La Rochelle by Frank Lewis Emanuel was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2010. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 812.50 (€ 976.94). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Lewis Emanuel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An afternoon call, which sold at auction in January 2005 for GBP 1,560.00 (€ 2,253.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sunshine at La Rochelle von Frank Lewis Emanuel kam im Juli 2010 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 812,50 (€ 976,94) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Frank Lewis Emanuel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit An afternoon call beobachtet, die im Januar 2005 für GBP 1.560,00 (€ 2.253,51) versteigert wurde.
