Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2006 Christies in New York held the auction Orientalist Art, which included the work Boating On The River Nile by Frank Dean. The price achieved of USD 15,600.00 (€ 12,357.41) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frank Dean - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work British Sheepherders Returning At Sunset, Egypt, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 40,000.00 (€ 25,693.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2006 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Boating On The River Nile von Frank Dean zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 15.600,00 (€ 12.357,41) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Frank Dean mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit British Sheepherders Returning At Sunset, Egypt beobachtet, die im April 2008 für USD 40.000,00 (€ 25.693,73) versteigert wurde.
