The work Bachelor's Hall: Six Plates by Francis Calcraft Turner was worth USD 3,346.00 (€ 2,689.49) to a buyer in February 2004. This price was achieved in the auction The House Sale at Christies in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 1,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Francis Calcraft Turner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A gentleman driving in a landscape; and A lady riding with a companion in a landscape in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 14,340.00 (€ 22,455.70).
