In March last year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work 'The Craven at Ashdown' by Frank Algernon Stewart. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,550.00 (€ 3,023.31), 42% above the upper estimate. Other works by Frank Algernon Stewart have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 3,055.00 (€ 3,554.81) in January 2002 for the work The Crawley and Horsham Hunt.
