The work The celebration by François Verheyden was sold in the Old Masters and 19th Century Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in April 2010. It changed hands for a price of EUR 58,600.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The celebration is the most expensive artwork by François Verheyden that we have observed at auctions so far.
