Auction result misses estimated price range
In October 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work The Deluge by François Verdier for USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,011.48). This price was achieved in the auction The Art of Collecting: Three Private Collections at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François Verdier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Piérides défiant les Muses, which sold at auction in March 2012 for EUR 3,000.00.

Im Oktober 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Deluge von François Verdier für USD 1.375,00 (€ 1.011,48) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Art of Collecting: Three Private Collections bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von François Verdier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les Piérides défiant les Muses beobachtet, die im März 2012 für EUR 3.000,00 versteigert wurde.
