In February 2013 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings & Drawings, 19th Century Sculptures, which included the work Le Christ Guérissant Un Muet by François Verdier. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 400.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 442.00. Admittedly, works by François Verdier have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Piérides défiant les Muses in March 2012 with an auction result of EUR 3,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Februar 2013 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings & Drawings, 19th Century Sculptures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Christ Guérissant Un Muet von François Verdier zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 400,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 442,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von François Verdier auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Piérides défiant les Muses im März 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.000,00.
