Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by François Rouan could be acquired at Sothebys in Paris in June 2018 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Art Contemporain Day Sale auction, the work Faces changed hands for EUR 11,875.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by François Rouan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tressage/Rose Et Gris, Firenze Bleu-Jaune in December 2019 with an auction result of EUR 75,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von François Rouan konnte im Juni 2018 bei Sothebys in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Art Contemporain Day Sale wechselte die Arbeit Faces für EUR 11.875,00 den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von François Rouan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tressage/Rose Et Gris, Firenze Bleu-Jaune im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 75.000,00.
