Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2010 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Landscape with Man Fishing by Régis François Gignoux. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,271.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Régis François Gignoux - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work On The Upper Hudson, which sold at auction in September 2019 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,802.84).

Im September 2010 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape with Man Fishing von Régis François Gignoux zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.271,45) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Régis François Gignoux mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit On The Upper Hudson beobachtet, die im September 2019 für USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.802,84) versteigert wurde.
