Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Des fougères devant des troncs d'arbres by François-Louis Français for EUR 180.00. This price was achieved in the auction Intérieurs at Christies in Paris and was even below the estimate range of EUR 300.00 – 500.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François-Louis Français achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vue De La Baie De Nicefrançois-Louis Français ; View Of The Bay Of Nice ; Signed Lower Right ; Oil On Canvas in June 2012 with an auction result of EUR 19,950.00.
