In November 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work French saint Francois D'Assise Transporte Mourant A Sainte-Marie Des Anges, Benit La Ville D'Assise by François-Léon Bénouville for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,296.24). This price was achieved in the auction European Paintings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house.
