Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Portrait Of A Lady, Circa 1815 by François Joseph Juste Sieurac for GBP 1,750.00 (€ 2,068.30). This price was achieved in the auction The Pohl-Ströher Collection of Portrait Miniatures, Part III at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,800.00 – 2,400.00 set by the auction house. Other works by François Joseph Juste Sieurac have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in November 2009 by the work Unknown at GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,556.71).
