In November 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Including the Bar-Gera Collection of Soviet Non-Conformist Art, which included the work Portrait Of Grand Duchess Elena Vladimirovna Of Russia by François Flameng. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 35,000.00 (€ 41,296.56), 40% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François Flameng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fête vénitienne, which sold at auction in June 2019 for EUR 112,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 40 % übertroffen
Im November 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Including the Bar-Gera Collection of Soviet Non-Conformist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of Grand Duchess Elena Vladimirovna Of Russia von François Flameng zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 35.000,00 (€ 41.296,56) und damit 40% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von François Flameng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fête vénitienne beobachtet, die im Juni 2019 für EUR 112.500,00 versteigert wurde.
