Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work The Closing Stages Of One Of The Battles In The Anglo-Dutch Wars by François Etienne Musin for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 6,247.26). This price was achieved in the auction Maritime Art at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Etienne Musin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Belgian hms Resolute In Search Of Sir John Franklin in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 100,000.00 (€ 111,408.87).

Im Juni 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Closing Stages Of One Of The Battles In The Anglo-Dutch Wars von François Etienne Musin für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 6.247,26) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Maritime Art bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François Etienne Musin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Belgian hms Resolute In Search Of Sir John Franklin im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 100.000,00 (€ 111.408,87).
