Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work Sailing vessels on a busy river by François Etienne Musin. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 6,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by François Etienne Musin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Belgian hms Resolute In Search Of Sir John Franklin in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 100,000.00 (€ 111,408.87).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Masters and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sailing vessels on a busy river von François Etienne Musin zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 6.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von François Etienne Musin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Belgian hms Resolute In Search Of Sir John Franklin im Dezember 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 100.000,00 (€ 111.408,87).
