This artwork by François de Nomé achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in March 2015. In the Tableaux 1400-1900 auction, the work La Montée au Calvaire sold for EUR 37,500.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 20,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François de Nomé - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Architecture De Fantaisie: Un Intérieur D'Église, which sold at auction in April 2014 for EUR 121,500.00.
