Auction result well in line with expectations
The work An Architectural Capriccio With A Group Of Figures by François de Nomé was sold in the Master Paintings & Sculpture Day Sale auction at Sothebys in New York in January 2017. The price achieved of USD 40,000.00 (€ 37,057.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François de Nomé - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Architecture De Fantaisie: Un Intérieur D'Église, which sold at auction in April 2014 for EUR 121,500.00.
