A top price for François-Auguste Ortmans - as previously expected
In March 2017 Christies in Paris held the auction Dessins anciens et du XIXe siècle, which included the work Vue dans la forêt de Fontainebleau by François-Auguste Ortmans. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 4,375.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Vue dans la forêt de Fontainebleau is the most expensive artwork by François-Auguste Ortmans that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im März 2017 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Dessins anciens et du XIXe siècle durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vue dans la forêt de Fontainebleau von François-Auguste Ortmans zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 4.375,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Vue dans la forêt de Fontainebleau das teuerste Kunstwerk von François-Auguste Ortmans, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
