Auction result well in line with expectations
The work French the Wood Gatherers by François-Alfred Delobbe was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2016. The price achieved of USD 31,250.00 (€ 29,542.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by François-Alfred Delobbe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work French Woman Sifting, which sold at auction in April 2008 for USD 181,000.00 (€ 116,264.13).
