The work French Woman Sifting by François-Alfred Delobbe was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2008. The price achieved of USD 181,000.00 (€ 116,264.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, French Woman Sifting is the most expensive artwork by François-Alfred Delobbe that we have observed at auctions so far.
