Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May 2006 Christies in Milan held the auction Modern Pictures, which included the work Corrida by Franco Garelli. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 1,736.00 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franco Garelli - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Senza Titolo, which sold at auction in November 2006 for EUR 6,820.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai 2006 führte Christies in Mailand die Auktion Modern Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Corrida von Franco Garelli zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 1.736,00 und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Franco Garelli mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Senza Titolo beobachtet, die im November 2006 für EUR 6.820,00 versteigert wurde.
