Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Christies in New York held the auction Latin American Art, which included the work El conejo fumigador by Francisco Toledo. It changed hands for a price of USD 189,000.00 (€ 178,571.43) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 150,000.00 – 200,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francisco Toledo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Meu Xubi in November 2019 with an auction result of USD 1,040,000.00 (€ 943,824.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Latin American Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit El conejo fumigador von Francisco Toledo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 189.000,00 (€ 178.571,43) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 150.000,00 – 200.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Francisco Toledo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Meu Xubi im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.040.000,00 (€ 943.824,30).
