Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Spanish Chulas (Women In The Countryside) by Francisco Iturrino was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 33,798.39). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francisco Iturrino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spanish manolas Outside The Bullring, which sold at auction in December 2015 for GBP 81,250.00 (€ 110,333.59).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Spanish Chulas (Women In The Countryside) von Francisco Iturrino im Mai 2014 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 33.798,39) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Francisco Iturrino mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spanish manolas Outside The Bullring beobachtet, die im Dezember 2015 für GBP 81.250,00 (€ 110.333,59) versteigert wurde.
