Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Mrs Stephen Cox, three-quarter-length, in a fur wrap, the Spero coat of arms to the upper left by Frank Owen Salisbury was sold in the British, Continental & Russian Pictures & Prints auction at Christies in London in July 2007. The price achieved of GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,604.05) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Owen Salisbury achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sen Sisters in September 2005 with an auction result of GBP 96,000.00 (€ 140,887.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Mrs Stephen Cox, three-quarter-length, in a fur wrap, the Spero coat of arms to the upper left von Frank Owen Salisbury wurde im Juli 2007 in der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures & Prints bei Christies in London versteigert.
