Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A capriccio of a Venetian backwater; and Another similar by Francis Moltino was auctioned at Christies in London in January 2002. It achieved a price of GBP 998.75 (€ 1,640.95), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Francis Moltino - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Royal Naval College, Greenwich, from the Thames, which sold at auction in September 2002 for GBP 3,760.00 (€ 5,975.50).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 998,75 (€ 1.640,95) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Für andere Arbeiten von Francis Moltino mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Royal Naval College, Greenwich, from the Thames beobachtet, die im September 2002 für GBP 3.760,00 (€ 5.975,50) versteigert wurde.
