Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Venice, A View Of The Piazzetta At Carnival by Francesco Zanin was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2011, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 11,965.58). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Zanin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venice, View Of The Palazzo Ducale; Venice, View Of The Scuola Grande Di San Marco in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 287,500.00 (€ 259,172.45).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Venice, A View Of The Piazzetta At Carnival von Francesco Zanin im April 2011 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 10.625,00 (€ 11.965,58) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Zanin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venice, View Of The Palazzo Ducale; Venice, View Of The Scuola Grande Di San Marco im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 287.500,00 (€ 259.172,45).
