Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings, which included the work San Giorgio Maggiore, Venice, with an imaginary Campanile by Francesco Zanin. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,748.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Zanin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venice, View Of The Palazzo Ducale; Venice, View Of The Scuola Grande Di San Marco in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 287,500.00 (€ 259,172.45).

Im November 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit San Giorgio Maggiore, Venice, with an imaginary Campanile von Francesco Zanin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.748,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Zanin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venice, View Of The Palazzo Ducale; Venice, View Of The Scuola Grande Di San Marco im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 287.500,00 (€ 259.172,45).
