Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2016 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings, which included the work The Madonna and sleeping Christ Child with an attending angel and cherubs making music by Francesco Trevisani. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 14,748.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Trevisani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Madonna Sewing With The Christ Child in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 180,500.00 (€ 245,268.88).

Im November 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Madonna and sleeping Christ Child with an attending angel and cherubs making music von Francesco Trevisani zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.500,00 (€ 14.748,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Trevisani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Madonna Sewing With The Christ Child im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 180.500,00 (€ 245.268,88).
