Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2017 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings, which included the work An Allegory of Music; and An Allegory of Painting, with a portrait of the artist on an easel by Francesco Trevisani. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,973.15) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Trevisani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Madonna Sewing With The Christ Child in December 2007 with an auction result of GBP 180,500.00 (€ 245,268.88).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Allegory of Music; and An Allegory of Painting, with a portrait of the artist on an easel von Francesco Trevisani zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.973,15) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Trevisani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Madonna Sewing With The Christ Child im Dezember 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 180.500,00 (€ 245.268,88).
