Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2016 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Masters Day Sale, which included the work Joseph And Potiphar’S Wife by Francesco Solimena. The price achieved of GBP 43,750.00 (€ 51,150.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Solimena achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Finding Of Moses in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 825,000.00 (€ 555,892.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2016 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Masters Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Joseph And Potiphar’S Wife von Francesco Solimena zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 43.750,00 (€ 51.150,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Solimena erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Finding Of Moses im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 825.000,00 (€ 555.892,46).
