Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work Gary Weber by Francesco Scavullo for USD 375.00 (€ 355.05). This price was achieved in the auction Francesco Scavullo: No End to Beauty at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Scavullo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Janis Joplin, 1969 in May 2016 with an auction result of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 21,204.54).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2015 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Gary Weber von Francesco Scavullo für USD 375,00 (€ 355,05) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Francesco Scavullo: No End to Beauty bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Scavullo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Janis Joplin, 1969 im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 21.204,54).
