Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2005 Christies in Paris held the auction DESSINS ANCIENS ET DU 19EME SIECLE, which included the work Les Sacrifices de Caïn Et Abel by Francesco Montelatici. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,240.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Francesco Montelatici achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Etude d'homme assis de profil à droite in March 2002 with an auction result of EUR 70,500.00.

Im März 2005 führte Christies in Paris die Auktion DESSINS ANCIENS ET DU 19EME SIECLE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Les Sacrifices de Caïn Et Abel von Francesco Montelatici zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.240,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Francesco Montelatici erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Etude d'homme assis de profil à droite im März 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 70.500,00.
