In the 19th Century European Art Including Orientalist Art auction, the work Inverno Bosco sold for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,206.36) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Francesco Lojacono have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Italian view Of Acquasanta, Palermo in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 82,850.00 (€ 96,718.89).
