In April 2000 Christies in London held the auction 19C European Art, which included the work A country road, Mondello, Sicily by Francesco Lojacono. The price achieved of GBP 41,125.00 (€ 70,404.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. Other works by Francesco Lojacono have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2011 the work Italian view Of Acquasanta, Palermo was auctioned for GBP 82,850.00 (€ 96,718.89).
